Festive Farmers Market: Sat., December 4th

Living Earth Council (LEC) Members and Friends:

On Sat. December 4, from 9 am to 2 pm, the Truro Farmers’ Market will have a special festive market at St Andrew’s United church at the corner of Duke and King.

LEC will be hosting speakers and presenting films about local, healthy food during this period in a room above the parlour (just go up the stairs at the back of the sanctuary). There is an opportunity to learn more about community supported agriculture from Sebastian Margarit and the NSAC community garden from Nicole Lefebvre and Meghan Summers. There will be a new film about Polyface farms and Joel Salatin and family and how they provide healthy meat and eggs for many happy customers.  We expect other speakers and films as well.

We will also have a list of local producers you can contact to buy local products in the winter.

Hopefully you can drop in, pick up a few items and participate in discussions with our speakers.
